Why to carry a Float and Knife?

When freediving in open water, divers are strongly advised to carry a buoy. The  buoys help divers to be visible for boats and other people around as well as they provide a resting platform. 

Floats are also an essential part of a spearfishing kit as they prevent the diver from losing their gun when  spearing a fish. When speared, the fish can take off and the spearo needs to be able to return to surface for breathing, letting go of the gun if needed.

Ocean Hunter Torpedo Foam Float

Ocean Hunter designed its Torpedo Foam Float & Flag for all rock-hopping and shore diving enthusiasts. The Foam Float is stable and abrasion resistant, which makes it your perfect companion around rocky shores.

Another advantage of a foam float is its superior buoyancy. It is not easily pulled under by large prey. The bright yellow colour and the added dive flag are further highly visible to any oncoming boat traffic.

The Torpedo float is supplied with a mirror and a whistle. It also includes an integrated keel weight, as well as a shark clip and a snap clip (both featuring swivels).

Ocean Hunter Assassin Knife

The Ocean Hunter Assassin Knife is the ideal spearos knife. This Knife can be easily mounted onto the divers arm, leg or belt for quick and easy access when dispatching your fish in a timely manner.

The Knife features an extremely sharp 9cm dagger style blade which has been designed for deep penetration through bone and flesh. The Ocean Hunter Assassin Knife is manufactured in marine grade stainless steel for long life and has a twin locking mechanism on the sheath which allows for easy extraction with only one hand. This clever locking mechanism ensures that the knife can’t accidentally displace its sheath and be lost.

DEX Gloves
